TECHNOLOGY
At the base level, the 2021 Silverado 1500 features:
- Two-speaker AM/FM audio system
- Two USB ports for hooking up portable devices
- Bluetooth® hands-free phone calling and audio streaming
The Custom trim level gains remote keyless entry with remote start to make it much easier to access the cabin and get the engine started, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot, four additional speakers, and a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio for more fleshed-out entertainment.
The LT gains a dual-zone automatic climate control system and an upgrade to proximity keyless entry. For more robust infotainment, go with, at the very least, the LTZ, which has the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system for features such as:
- Eight-inch HD color touchscreen
- Voice recognition technology
- HD Radio
- Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration
- Two additional USB ports in the rear for charging portable devices
- Upgrade to the SiriusXM 360L for more robust entertainment
It is also at this level where manufacturer Chevrolet introduces auto-dimming ability and a garage-door opener on the rearview mirror. Only the High Country has a navigation system and a seven-speaker Bose premium stereo system.
